Family is Everything and BVJ Weekend

Uncle Gerald and Terry came to visit from Saskatchewan. They live on a farm where my Mom grew up near Swift Current. They don’t get away a lot because they have chores to do on their farm. This is the first time they have been to my parents house.

BVJ weekend!

Friday we went to one concert because it got rained out and it was muddy. So my wheelchair would have got dirty. We parked at the CRE and the handi van picked us up and took us into the concert grounds. We saw Little Big Town they were so good.

Saturday we saw Tanya Tucker, Kacey Musgrave & Keith Urban. Everyone was really good. We sat on a deck and watched the performances. It was very easy for me because they had a ramp and I could on the deck so we could see so well! Every night after the last show they have fireworks. I jumped high because they scared me. But they were really cool!

Sunday I saw Chris Young & Jason Aldean. This weekend was really fun! I can’t wait to hear who is coming next year.

Summer 2017 So Far!

Uncle Dale & Glenda came from Swift Current, Saskatchewan to visit. They have a farm and don’t get away much it has been 6 years since I seen them last!

I can’t go in their house because they have stairs:(

Aunty Donna from Unity, Saskatchewan came to visit too! I can not go to her house either because she has stairs! Courtney, Kaitlyn & Grant are my cousins but they didn’t come this time.

I went on a swing with my wheelchair. I loved it!

I went on a boat ride and the boat had a ramp so it was easy for me to get on. It was very fun!

I went swimming in the lake and it was nice. They had a life jacket for me so I could float easier.

Friends & Family Birthday Celebration

I went to The Canadian Brewhouse and celebrated by birthday with friends. The Canadian Brewhouse is fun but it is very hard for me to got there. The tables are all high or there is a step to get up into another level. There are only 2 tables I can sit at. The parking is very hard sometimes. The one handicapped parking spot isn’t wide enough for a side ramp, so we had to park in the Sobeys parking lot (in the rain). But I still had fun!

On Sunday my Mom took me too the Paint Pottery. There is a step into the building so we had to use my manual chair. The table was too high to get my knees all the way under and the bathroom isn’t wheelchair accessible. We did have fun though. I painted a birdhouse (with some help from my Mom). I liked to paint the top of my bird house because I could do it by myself! It was hard to do the front of the house because there was little places like flowers to paint. My Mom had to help me a lot.

We had a family supper and for dessert we had homemade chocolate/peanut butter cheesecake that my Mom made. It was very good.

My Mom made me moccasin boots for winter but it took to long so I got them for my birthday! I love them and can’t wait to wear them. They are my favorite color red and have my favorite butterfly on them. I also got an iPad cover it is blue with butterflies!

After cake and gifts we played Yahtzee. Yahtzee is my favorite game…. and I WON!

On Tuesday June 6th in the morning we went to Johnston’s Canyon and hiked the canyon and saw the waterfall. It was hard for me because there was rock in the middle of the path and I couldn’t make it all of the way in my wheelchair. I loved seeing the waterfall.

In the afternoon we went to the Red Earth Spa. I got a facial and it was so nice! I got to wear a bath robe  and sandals. I layed on a bed and they put a hot cloth on my face. They massaged my feet and my head and it felt awesome! We went to a pool in the spa and went swimming. It was really nice and warm. I would recommend this to anyone! This was my favorite day!

Bocce Ball Thursday’s!

Every week on Thursday I go to the field behind CAFCL and I play Bocce Ball. My aide Johdi holds my ball and my hand so I can throw it. You have a little white ball on the field and you try to throw your ball closest to the white ball. They have set up individual lanes and you move to the next lane when you have completed one.

Here is me playing yesterday!

Where Have I Been?

When I Travel I sit in an airplane seat just like everyone else. I like to sit in the window seat so I can look down when we land.

I can’t bring my power chair on the plane so I have to bring a normal wheelchair. It goes where the normal luggage goes on a plane.

Without my power chair this means I don’t have control… I have to wait for my parents to push me everywhere!

When we went to Sedona, Arizona & Branson, Missouri we went on hikes but it was very hard for my Dad to push me.

It is very hard to go on sand with a wheelchair, but in Florida they had a sand wheelchair that we used and it sure helped my parents!

I can go on rides in Disney World but my Dad had to take me out of my wheelchair to go on the rides.

But in Disneyland they had a wheelchair accessible ride so it made it easier for my Dad!

Here are some pictures from my trips…
